A recent segment on Fox News showed a huge error that definitely no one was supposed to see.

The segment featured their media analyst, Howard Kurtz, and Republican strategist and author Frank Luntz.

The two were discussing the propagation of “fake news,” public distrust of mainstream media, and President Trump’s Twitter account.

At one point during their conversation, Fox showed a poll on screen.

“Speaking of fake news,” says Kurtz, “there is a new poll out from Monmouth University. ‘Do the media report fake news regularly or occasionally?’ 77 percent say yes,” at which point he realized the wrong graphic is being shown.

The actual graphic shown on screen asked, “Who do you trust more?” and listed CNN at 48 percent, MSNBC at 45 percent, and Fox News at 30 percent.

“That is not the graphic we are looking for. Hold off,” a panicked Kurtz said when he saw the mistake. “Take that down, please.”

The graphic was taken down, but the clip is still on Fox News’ Twitter.

At one point, Luntz says, “The fact is, we got our news to affirm rather than inform, and that’s one of the greatest threats to the health of this democracy.”
