It’s been a big week for Timothée Chalamet, which began Monday with the announcement that he’d portray a young William Wonka in an origin film about Roald Dahl’s famed candy tycoon. While that press release was met mostly with bafflement and bad jokes, another update from Planet Chalamet received today should inspire more straightforward excitement among his fanbase.

Deadline ran a profile of Luca Guadagnino this morning, in which the director shares some details about his currently-in-progress upcoming film, Bones & All. Chief among them is new casting news, which includes the detail that the upcoming project will reunite the Call Me By Your Name director with his one-time star Chalamet for the first time since the movie that rocketed them both to a new tier of fame.

He’ll be joined by the likes of Chloë Sevigny, Mark Rylance, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jessica Harper, Waves breakout Taylor Russell, Guadagnino’s We Are Who We Are star Francesca Scorsese, and André Holland. Filmmaker David Gordon Green will also make a rare appearance on the other side of the camera in a to-be-revealed role.

David Kajganich, screenwriter of the 2018 Suspiria remake and A Bigger Splash before it, has adapted Camille DeAngelis’ novel for Guadagnino’s first production within American borders. In it, Chalamet leads as an enigmatic drifter who sweeps up a young woman (Russell) also on the “margins of society” during a “thousand-mile odyssey which takes them through the back roads, hidden passages, and trap doors of Ronald Reagan’s America.” Being set during the ’80s, perhaps the film will see the leads share a moment of intimacy while listening to the Psychedelic Furs’ “Love My Way.”

The Deadline item also clears up the situation surrounding a proposed sequel to Call Me By Your Name, which apparently isn’t in the cards any time soon. With Chalamet pursuing A-list movie stardom in studio tentpoles, Armie Hammer busy repairing what’s left of his shattered reputation, and Guadagnino interested in concepts of his own, it seems altogether unlikely. This will surely come as a blow to those starved for more teen hormone-fueled flirtation, but at least the dream team is together again.
