A man was arrested after trying to pick up a 13-year-old girl for sex while his 4-year-old daughter was in his car.

Isaias Magana, 39, from West Jordan was apprehended by Utah police after he drove to the minor’s house.

The arresting officers found cocaine in the suspect’s pocket and child pornography videos on his phone. According to police reports, there were at least “eight videos of children and toddlers being raped or sodomized.”

Magana had been using an app to chat online with what he thought was a 13-year-old girl. But, investigators revealed that Magana had been talking to an undercover officer.

According to the authorities, the suspect allegedly discussed the sexual acts they would be doing when they met. He also expressed his concerns of getting her pregnant.

Upon his arrest, he admitted to his arresting officers that he intended to meet the minor for sex. The suspect is in Davis County Jail with a bail set to $20,680.

He was charged on Monday with possession of a controlled substance, enticing a minor by internet or text, and eight counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Magana’s first court appearance is scheduled for Friday, July 6 in Farmington’s 2nd District Court. It is not clear if he has been appointed an attorney.
