Thanks to the bravery and quick thinking of three flight attendants, three girls were saved from a possible human trafficking situation during a flight to Honolulu.
Wesley Hirata was one of the Hawaiian Airlines crew on board the flight when he noticed an older Asian man getting on the plane leaving Los Angeles with three Caucasian girls.

Hirata felt something was off, so he alerted his fellow flight attendants.
The trio found that one of the girls was a minor. Even more suspicious was that according to the flight manifest, all three girls shared the same name.
The flight attendants then tipped off the pilot, who notified the operations center and security.
As soon as they landed in Honolulu, deputy sheriffs investigated the group of passengers and labeled the situation as a human trafficking incident. The case is now being handled by the FBI.
According to Hirata, you should always listen to your intuition.
“Trust your gut and prior experience [and] report the situation without alarming or confronting the passengers in a suspicious manner,” Hirata said.
