SMH: ‘Teen Mom’s Farrah Abraham Sues MTV, Claiming They Shamed And Degraded Her For Doing Porn
Farrah Abraham Sues MTV After ‘Teen Mom OG’ Firing
Recently fired Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham has filed a $5 million lawsuit claiming she was “sex shamed” by an MTV producer and wrongfully terminated for her decision to do porn.
In a complaint filed on Tuesday, Abraham claims that her decade-long reign as a main cast member on Teen Mom and its spinoff Teen Mom OG came to a unexpected halt last October, after she was confronted at her Texas home by producer Morgan J. Freeman.
The lawsuit filed in federal court states: “Freeman, alongside his production crew, harassed, humiliated, discriminated against, disrespected, ridiculed, degraded and sex shamed Ms. Abraham for her recent decision to pursue opportunities in the adult entertainment industry.”
The paperwork alleges that the executive producer threatened to end Farrah’s career with MTV and sabotage her future deals with the network. Abraham claims the producer’s “hostile tone, mannerisms and body language” caused her to “fear for her life” and says she was harassed because she did not meet “gender stereotypes on how women should act and appear.” She claims she was unfairly fired after complaining about Freeman.
Anyone who watches Teen Mom knows that Farrah and the producers of the show have pretty much always been at odds, so it’s not surprising that her and the show’s crew got into it.
MTV parent company Viacom denied any wrongdoing in the situation.
