Sales Of Bulletproof Backpacks Up After Florida School Shooting
Donald Trump has spent a lot of time bragging misguidedly about how he’s stimulated the U.S. economy. But the sad truth is that some businesses are booming for much more horrific reasons than our FANTA-colored, s#!thole President.
According to the anti-gun-violence organization, Everytown, there have been 18 school shootings in 2018 so far.
Our hearts are with all those impacted by the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida today.
This is the 18th school shooting in the U.S. in 2018. https://t.co/YdPLz4zuOS

The high-volume violence has lead to scores of parents desperate to protect their children…at school. According to TMZ, that deadly uptick means companies like Bullet Blocker are making money hand-over-fist.
Bullet Blocker sells bulletproof backpacks and coats (even bougie high-fashion items like bulletproof Gucci and Hermes). The company has seen a 30% increase in sales since the shooting on Wednesday. Owner Joe Curran says a vast majority of those orders are going to Florida.
This is life now and the government is cool with it. Crazy.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out those who are grieving in Parkland.
