20 Photos That Prove Animals Are Killing The Chill Spot Game.

February 01, 2018

Animals are such interesting beings, and sometimes they do super cute things. The one thing that animals seem to be best at is finding a cozy place to rest, even if that place doesn't appear to be the most comfortable spot.

Here are 20 animals that do just that.

Just my size.

We're not totally sure how this cat ended up inside what appears to be a fish tank, but he's in there and he's all squished up against the sides. We also can't imagine this being comfortable for any animal, but this kitty doesn't appear to be bothered. No word on how long he stayed in there, but we would have paid good money to see how he managed to get himself out.

The cone of shame-less comfort.

It's fairly common knowledge that animals hate wearing a cone, which is why it is often referred to as "the cone of shame." However, this kitten found the perfect cozy spot to take a snooze, right inside the cone of her bigger dog buddy. It seems completely obvious that these two are the best of friends and that the kitten is just in there giving the pup some extra love. How precious is that?

Anybody want some pretzels?

Now, this is what I call a party mix! There's nothing like having a bunch of friends over to watch football, putting out a big container of pretzels, and watching your cat do something totally hilarious. We're willing to bet that no one wanted to eat pretzels after this cat's antics, but we are also positive that everyone at that football party had an absolute howl over this.

How long are you going to stay in there, bud?

Thank you, human, for my new bed.

If you're a dog owner, you've probably noticed that dog beds are expensive. No matter which one you buy, you'll end up buying a second, and maybe even a third. But did you know that your dog will be just as comfortable inside your plastic laundry basket? Well, neither did we!

This next animal also got himself cozy in an item that you can find around the house. So much for that pricey cat house you just bought...

If it fits, it ships.

If I had a penny for every time my cat hunkered down in an empty box, I'd be rich. Who knew that empty cardboard boxes were what the cat really wanted for Christmas? This fella decided that he'd take up residence in this Amazon box, right after his human took her stuff out. She was going to recycle it, but it looks like the cat has already done that. Ah, home sweet home!

Life on the road is ruff.

When your human owns a guitar, there's no better way to get involved than to take a snooze in the guitar case. In fact, you probably didn't know this, but a guitar case fits a golden retriever almost perfectly. If I didn't know any better, I'd think that was actually molded for the pooch.

Life on the road might be tough, but finding a place to rest your head is priceless.

I'm gonna read these, I swear!

There's nothing like a good bookshelf, amirite? Just a nice place to store some of your favorite stories -- and your dog. Wait. What?! Well, this pup decided that he would climb right on top of the books in this cubby and make himself right at home. We're not totally sure how he got in there -- or what made him think that he could get in there, but alas, there he is, just chillin'.

It's a paver life for me.

Next time you're walking down the sidewalk and you notice a brick or a paver missing from the walkway, we encourage you to keep an open mind about it. Maybe the city decided not to replace the missing stone because a certain cat has claimed the spot as his or her new resting place.

Speaking of resting place, this next big cat has his own ideas when it comes to a throne. He seems happy with his decision.

Oh, did you need this for something?

Have you ever seen a lion in a wheelbarrow? Well, now you have.

This guy was hanging out in his zoo enclosure when he came across this green thing that looked fit for a king (a lion king, that is). The curious cat decided to give it a try, so he jumped inside. People gathered around and took pictures as he sat there and looked around.

Who knew that a wheelbarrow could fit a lion so perfectly?!

Who the heck is the cat in the hat?

This kitten couldn't be snugger if she wanted to be! Forget the "Cat in the Hat," this little baby is the cat in the sock -- and she's loving every second of it. We can't help but wonder if her human helped her get into this article of clothing, but she doesn't appear to be fighting to get out -- and why would she?! She is super cozy in there, all ready for her afternoon nap.s

It really is a hammock!

Cat owners probably know all about this nifty move. While some people would look at this as an invasion of privacy, cat owners would call it "Monday." For whatever reason, cats seem to love to get all up close and personal with your underwear whilst you're doing your business. They really couldn't care less about what's going on in the bathroom, just as long as they get that prime spot at your feet!

Puss in boots.

Well if this isn't the cutest kitten in a boot that you've seen all day! There's nothing quite like putting on warm, fuzzy winter boots when it's chilly outside, but when your cat has used them as a place to cozy up, you might just be stuck wearing sneakers. Who would want to both this little guy, anyway?

And he's not the only animal on this list that has found a cozy chill spot inside of a shoe...

Just taking a little shnooze.

What could be cuter than a puppy in a sandal? This little guy has life all figured out -- or so it seems.

Generally speaking, dogs chew on shoes, but this tired pup ended up falling asleep inside one. What's not to love about this spot? The shoe is contoured to fit a puppy-sized body and the straps on the sandal provide a sense of comfort, you know, to protect from the bad guys.

A-door-able!

Getting cozy in the car can be a challenge, but this pup figured it out with ease. Evidently, if you position your body just right on the side of the car door, you will be comfortable enough to sleep like a baby. Okay, okay. Maybe this won't work for everyone. But it definitely worked for this fella, who got to snooze on this long car ride.

This next pup also found the perfect spot for a nap.

It's therapeutic.

Have you ever been so tired that you just fall asleep at the dinner table? How about in your food? This doggo couldn't keep his eyes open long enough to walk away from his food bowl, so he just crawled inside and curled up. Surely that kibble is therapeutic for the back, right?

The best part is that if he wakes up hungry, he doesn't have very far to find his next meal.

Whomever said 'this is for the birds' was dead wrong.

Well, this was supposed to be a bird bath, but it turned into a dog bed just as easily. This tired pup decided to take a break from chasing squirrels around the yard. He found the perfect place to lay his head -- and he squashed his whole body in there as well.

And since we simply can't get enough of napping dogs in "cozy" places, we've got another one lined up for you.

I prefer the loft portion of my box.

Keeping newborn puppies in a box isn't uncommon, especially when trying to potty train them. What is uncommon, however, is finding one of those puppies snoozing on his back in the top part of the box that you probably didn't even know existed. Somehow, this pup was able to sneak his way into the wedge that you see here. By the time his humans found him, he was fast asleep. We seriously wonder how he got himself up there.

Camouflage at its best.

Who knew that bathroom sinks were cozy spots for cats to curl up in (as long as there's no water involved, that is). This kitty decided to fill up the sink for a midsummer's day snooze. We're really hoping that no one accidentally went to wash their hands, otherwise this pretty kitty would be seriously ticked off.

This next cat would also be ticked off if the item she chose to sleep on got turned on.

That grill life though.

Did you know that your outdoor grill is actually multi-purpose? Not only can you cook up some serious hamburgers and hotdogs, but you can also use the racks for sleeping. That is, if you're a flexible feline looking for a cozy spot to take a nap.

This cat doesn't have a worry in the world. Probably because she has no clue just how hot things can get with the turn of a button or two. Be careful, kitty!

Human finally took the clothes off my bed.

There's nothing like stretching out on a clothing rack. Talk about comfort! Evidently, this cat knows something that we don't, but we're just going to take his word for it. He has found his cozy spot and has fallen asleep, warmed by the sunlight pouring in through the window.

Something tells us it's good to be a cat. A sleeping cat. A sleeping cat on top of a clothing rack. Sigh. What a life.
